We’re proud to have a waitlist that reflects the demand for our work! 423 Customz is known for creating some of the most unique and viral custom designs out there. Our growing exposure has brought us a steady stream of new customers, repeat clients, and custom requests, which naturally extends our turnaround time.
Orders come in through multiple platforms—our website, eBay, Amazon, ArtFire, and even private requests via social media DMs (Facebook, Instagram) or in-person orders at our location in Athens, TN. We factor in all of these when estimating wait times to provide the most accurate timeframe possible.
These custom kicks aren’t mass-produced in a factory. Each pair is meticulously hand-painted by one artist at 423 Customz. This level of craftsmanship takes time—we strive for artistic perfection in every detail.
While our videos might make the process look fast and easy, what you don’t see is that a one-minute Instagram clip or a 10-minute YouTube video often represents 10–20 hours of work condensed. Rushing the process leads to mistakes, and we want to ensure your shoes come out exactly as they should. A little patience results in a product that lasts far longer than the wait!

Expedited orders come at a premium: the price of your order will double to prioritize it. Why? Because rushing your order means bumping it ahead of others who have been patiently waiting. We can make it happen, but it requires adjusting our entire workflow. So, plan ahead or be prepared to invest in a faster turnaround.
We ship anywhere a plane can land! The waitlist for production remains the same (1–2.5 weeks), and international shipping typically takes about a week after dispatch. However, delays may occur due to customs processing, so factor in extra time if you’re ordering from outside the U.S.
Before You Buy
All custom-painted items will have slight variations since they are created by hand, not by machine. It is impossible for them to be 100% identical. Designs like galaxy prints and drip patterns will naturally differ from pair to pair. However, your shoes will closely resemble the example and be easily recognizable as the style you purchased. Please be aware of this before ordering.
Yes! All our custom shoes are:
- 100% waterproof
- Dirt-repellent
- Fade- and crack-resistant
However, these protections apply under normal walking conditions only.
- Avoid excessive running, exercising, or sports activities while wearing your custom shoes. Doing so is at your own risk, and 423 Customz is not liable for any damage caused.
- Like any footwear, if mistreated or worn roughly, they may scuff or wear down over time.
- Treat them with care—they are wearable artworks, and they should be handled as such!
Each pair is photographed upon completion as proof of accuracy before shipping. No refunds or discounts will be given for damages after arrival.
All shoes are listed in men’s sizing unless requested otherwise.
Shoes with dyed soles may bleed when wet. Please keep this in mind before purchasing.
We do not offer refunds after 24 hours of purchase. Once customization begins, the base shoes cannot be returned to our suppliers, as they are made specifically for you.
No, all international customs fees are the customer’s responsibility. Before purchasing, please check your country’s import fees, as we cannot provide this information or cover the costs for you.
All orders follow Men’s U.S. sizing. If you use international sizing, please convert your size to U.S. measurements before ordering. You can do this with a quick Google search or by checking the size tag inside any of your current shoes.
Can I Send in My Shoes?
Yes! You can send in your own shoes, but they must be in at least “B” grade condition (7/10 or better). The better the condition, the better the final result. If possible, we recommend sending a brand-new pair.

Important: Shoes must be all white or mostly white to ensure the best results.
No, the wait time for custom orders using your own shoes varies and will be discussed when you reach out. One-of-one designs generally take longer, so expect a turnaround time of at least a month unless stated otherwise.
For custom orders arranged outside our website, we use an email invoice system with personalized pricing based on your request. We’ll discuss the details and finalize the pricing with you directly.
Returns
In most cases, no. Since each custom piece is made specifically for you, returns are generally not accepted. However, if we make a mistake on your order, we will correct it.
Custom Sneakers:
- No refunds after 24 hours. Once customization begins, base shoes cannot be returned to our suppliers.
- You agreed to our Terms & Conditions at the time of purchase, which outlined these policies.
Non-Custom Items (e.g., consignment shoes, phone cases, T-shirts, etc.):
- If you receive the wrong item, email us a clear photo of what you received.
- Once we verify the mistake, we will send you a prepaid shipping label to return the item via USPS 2-day service at no cost to you.
This is extremely rare due to the precautions we take, including:
- Multiple layers of protective packaging
- Double-boxing for shoes
- Pre-shipping inspection and photos of all items
However, since shipping is handled by a third party, we are not liable for damages caused during transit.
We ship via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and $200 of insurance included. If you’d like to purchase additional insurance, contact us before your order ships.

Shipping
We offer two shipping options:
- USA Shipping – For customers within the United States.
- International Shipping – For customers outside the U.S.
Important:
- If you are outside the U.S., you must select the International Shipping option at checkout.
- If you select the wrong option, your order will not be shipped until the correct shipping amount is paid via invoice.
- A non-refundable $15 fee will be charged for the inconvenience caused by not following instructions.

In general, there are only two statuses for custom sneakers: completed or not done. We ask that you wait for the full wait time (current times listed on the “WAIT TIME” page) before reaching out. Trust our process! Once your custom kicks are finished, we’ll happily provide your estimated shipping date.
ABSOLUTELY! We would never sell or customize fake sneakers. All shoes are purchased directly from retail locations (such as Foot Locker, Champs, etc.) or our trusted consignment supplier
All of our website listings include the base shoe required to create the final custom piece shown. If the listing allows you to select your shoe size, that means it includes the base shoe.
Our artist is extremely talented and has created custom designs for many notable figures. If the design you want isn’t listed on our website, just reach out to us via our “Contact Us” page. Be sure to have your budget in mind, as one-of-a-kind designs typically require more time and effort, with a minimum cost of $1000 USD. Custom commissions are not inexpensive!
Typically, the answer is no. 423 Customz specializes in creating unique, one-of-a-kind designs that are “Never to be recreated.” We prefer to make something just for you! Plus, we’re sure you wouldn’t want us selling your idea to someone else.
Our artist will never replicate another artist’s work. We all respect each other in this craft, and originality is key. However, we’ll gladly help you come up with a design that’s all your own.
Wearable art has its limits, just like any other artwork. Our custom kicks are made for light, everyday wear, not for intense physical activity. DON’T HOOP IN THEM IF YOU WANT THEM TO LAST UN-SCUFFED! With proper care, our custom kicks can last indefinitely. We use waterproof and flexible leather paints, and finish them with protective varnishes from Liquid Kicks, ensuring they resist light wear.
However, scraping or rough handling can damage the artwork, and dyed soles will eventually fade. Rubber is non-absorbent, so the color is only surface-level. The sides of your dyed soles will last for a long time with care, but the bottoms will show wear faster, especially with heavier individuals walking on rough surfaces. Wear with care to protect your investment and keep your footwear looking fresh!
